SEAMLESS TRANSFER
A Seamless Transfer System allows Loads to connect to alternative power sources, such as generators, in parallel before a break in power occurs. This system, part of advanced energy management systems, ensures that the No-Break Return feature enables switching back to mains without interruption. This capability helps you manage load shedding effectively, reducing downtime and ultimately saving you money.
BENEFITS OF SEAMLESS TRANSFER
Power can be shifted via the DSE application without interruption from utility to generator before load shedding commences and vice versa. With the integration of generators and services, restarting production facilities and minimizing downtime is now achievable with scheduled load shedding.
Moreover, motor starting and transformer inrush currents are eliminated during closed transition transfers. Voltage sags and surges/spikes are greatly reduced when load is transferred from the grid to the generator before load shedding occurs, significantly lowering the risk of premature equipment failures. This seamless process also complements solar energy solutions, enhancing overall energy efficiency.
PEAK SHAVING
A Peak Shaving System is an essential component of energy management systems, allowing for the generation of additional power when existing infrastructure limitations are met, or when Maximum Demand Restrictions would be exceeded, resulting in penalties.
MERITS OF PEAK SHAVING
Demand penalties can now be limited or reduced by the DSE 'Peak Shaving' feature. During peak demand, when the customers' load exceeds what is available from the Utility supplier (Notified Demand), the DSE 'Peak Lopping/Shaving' feature will 'top-up' the additional kW required. This capability enables you to grow your business without energy restrictions, leveraging advanced generators and services.
Additionally, this system can still function as a Backup Generator during Mains failures. Proportional usage ensures minimal generator generation capacity, limiting fuel usage to an absolute minimum while integrating seamlessly with solar energy solutions.

Nuvo GENERATOR/PV INTEGRATION KITS are designed for remote MONITORING and INTEGRATION CONTROL within energy management systems. POWER FACTOR CORRECTION (PFC)
WHAT IS PF: POWER FACTOR is simply explained as the ratio of 'actual' power (active) being used in a circuit, expressed in kilowatts (kW), to the power which is 'apparently' being drawn from Mains, expressed in kilo-volt-amps (kVA). ADVANTAGES OF USING A PFC SYSTEM: REDUCED kVA CHARGES: Actual kVA used is now charged as opposed to 'apparent' kVA, meaning you pay only for what you actually use. IMPROVE EFFICIENCY: Improved network voltage reduces energy loss, extending equipment life and lowering costs. This is particularly beneficial in energy management systems, which can optimize power usage. Additionally, improved starting torque of motors enhances performance. REDUCE RISK: Reduces overloading of cables, transformers, switchgear, and the risk of premature equipment failures, thus increasing reliability in generators and services. SAVES FUEL: Reduces fuel requirements to generate power during outages due to lower power losses, complementing the benefits of solar energy solutions.
